That's "burn-hi-sul" for anyone that looks up at my name and gets a bit intimidated.
I am an illustrator and designer with a BFA in Animation with a focus in Visual Development from the Academy of Art University--meaning I am an illustrator that is trained to design for movement.
I have worked on projects involving mobile applications and interactivity, animation productions, and am currently the owner of Bison Paper Company, a small Oakland, CA business that specializes in high quality greeting cards, prints, and other paper products.
Currently, I am the owner of an Oakland, CA brick-and-mortar retail store, Bay-Made. So far I have created a way for over 120 local Bay Area makers of all sorts to connect with the people that would like to support their local economies and buy from them. I also teach beginning drawing classes and block printing at the shop. I'm very proud to be a part of such a rich community of artists and makers. Bay-Made won Best of the East Bay in 2018 by The East Bay Express for the best place to buy a locally made gift.
I currently do not have time to do any personal commissions.
